Etsy's UK regulatory fee has risen to 0.48% — what it means for your prices
Etsy's regulatory operating fee for UK sellers went from 0.32% to 0.48% in June. Small per order, but it stacks with every other fee — here's the real impact.

Etsy charges UK sellers a regulatory operating fee on every order, on top of the transaction and payment processing fees. In June 2026 it rose from 0.32% to 0.48% of the order total — item price plus postage.
What changed
- Previous rate: 0.32%
- New rate: 0.48%
- Applies to: item price + postage + gift wrap
- VAT is added on top unless you're VAT-registered
What it actually costs you
On a typical £25 item with £3.50 postage, the fee went from about 9p to about 14p per order. That sounds like nothing — but it lands on top of the 6.5% transaction fee and 4% + £0.20 payment processing, and across 100 orders a month it's another £5 or so gone before VAT.
What to do
The MakerCalc Etsy calculator already uses the new rate, so any price you check today reflects what Etsy will actually take. If your margins were tight before June, it's worth re-running your bestsellers — and if you need to nudge a price to hold your profit, the Target Profit calculator will tell you the exact number to charge.
